Tsuu T'ina Nation

Tsuu T'ina Nation痴 home, on the southwest edge of Calgary, has an interesting history.

The Tsuu T段na were originally given one reserve to share with the Siksika and Kainai. The Tsuu T'ina weren稚 pleased with having to share with the Siksika. They continued their nomadic lifestyle rather than settling on the reserve.

But when the buffalo died out, the starving Tsuu T段na began camping near Fort Calgary. The North West Mounted Police proved to be friendly, assisting them whenever possible.

Unhappy with the shared reserve situation, the Tsuu T段na managed to persuade the government to sign a new treaty, giving them the reserve they have today.

The Tsuu T段na own and operate several companies, including The Redwood Meadows Golf & Country Club at Bragg Creek, Alberta. In late 2007, the Grey Eagle Casino opened on Tsuu T段na land.
