Manitoba First Nations Artists Can Study in Brandon

Manitoba First Nations artists are lucky.

Brandon University has an amazing aboriginal art component in its visual arts department. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual and Aboriginal studies is the first such program to be offered in Canada.

The premise of the program is that First Nations arts rank as highly in importance as European arts; one should not be studied at the expense of the other.

Of course, you don’t have to be a Manitoba First Nations artist to attend the program. The four-year degrees are open to everyone.
